I gather this kit is based on the ViaSat's SurfBeam system, can anyone tell me if it is compatible with any of the services offered in S.E.Asia specifically Thailand?
Thanks Alex |

Someone else wanted Surfbeam service in East Asia. See: https://www.satsig.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=ivsat-asia;action=display;num=1216467577 I suggest you email him and ask if he found an Asia beam service provider with a Surfbeam Hub.
Note that the small blue Wildblue/Tooway type dish and its TRIA are Ka band equipment and will only work with satellites that have Ka band beams, such as Anik F2/Wildblue and Hotbird 6. The Surfbeam modem is claimed to be able to work with Ku band outdoor equipment, but I am not aware of any specifically compatible LNB/BUC hardware. The surfbeam modem LNB supply is 30 volts at 150mA and the BUC supply 30 volts at 1.55 amps. Best regards, Eric. |
