Hi

There's a whole load of these floating around the UK at the moment as ADSL roll-outs push them out the door.

They can only be redeployed or recommissioned in conjunction with a Gilat-approved satellite operator/partner and an accredited/certificated installer.

Gilat will not reply to unregistered enquirers, either by phone or email.

The Out-Door Unit assembly will probably need to be upgraded (LNB for example - the National Japan Radio ones are anywhere between £120 - up), especialy those on the 75 cm elliptical Channel Master dishes.

Basically, it's so much techno-scrap - sorry - but your best bet is to try and sell it on ebay and hope that an enthusiastic nerd will make an offer. Anything around the £50 mark plus delivery at cost would be reasonable.

Regards

Jose

Hi

Is this system still available???

I am living in Ireland & have just been advised that my line will not take the Broadband upgrade at the local exchange.  have waited months for this great news.  Only option now is wireless or satellite.  There is a wireless initiative locally, but I will fail on that.  We are surrounded by woodland & will not get line of sight.

Am now considering a preowned Gilat satellite unit from UK.  Would appreciate some technical input please.
