compatability of idirect on a mobile antenna

Ex Member Ex Member	Reply #1 - Sep 25^th, 2007 at 12:09pm GPS is going to have to come from SOMEWHERE. �Your modem needs a NMEA string (from GPS) for it to determine its frame start delay (FSD) to get into the inbounds (return/upstream carriers). �Look for an external source. Otherwise: No communication. �

europe-satellite.com Senior Member ★★★ Offline Posts: 541 London UK	Reply #2 - Sep 28^th, 2007 at 3:47pm mobile antenna without GPS .................... sounds to us as a normal fixed antenna on top of a van It takes 2 to max 5 min. to point it manual without GPS if you have a good satellite meter. For automatic pointing you need ALWAY'S a GPS receiver connected to the antenna pointing unit.
