iDirect To Showcase DVB-S2/ACM Platform Demo At CABSAT 2008 Conference And Exhibition
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

(4 March 2008 ) iDirect, Inc., a company of VT Systems Inc (VT Systems) and a world leader in satellite-based IP communications technology, today announced that it will demonstrate the capabilities of its Evolution DVB-S2/ACM (Adaptive Coding and Modulation) platform at the CABSAT 2008 Conference and Exhibition in Dubai.

The capabilities of iDirect's Evolution DVB-S2/ACM platform were recently validated for market release through a series of commercial tests. Attendees will see a live demonstration of the commercial version of iDirect's Evolution DVB-S2/ACM platform, which comprises a new line of DVB-S2/ACM remotes and line cards as well as advanced operating and network management software.

The commercial launch of the Evolution platform is highly anticipated as many of the MEA region's top satellite operators and communications service providers have standardised their operations on iDirect's technology. As satellite capacity has grown more constrained, the ability of the iDirect platform to connect to multiple satellites, support any topology or application and increase bandwidth efficiency has especially enabled iDirect customers to reduce capital and operating expenses and increase their business opportunities.

According to Frost & Sullivan, iDirect has outpaced the industry to become the leading provider of IP-based satellite networks in the MEA region with a 40 percent market share in hub sales.

"In the past year, iDirect has significantly strengthened its presence in the MEA region with a surge in hub sales and the opening of our new MEA headquarters in Dubai. With the commercial launch of our Evolution DVB-S2/ACM platform accelerating, we are eager to help our growing network of partners expand their business." Rash Jhanjee, Regional Vice President for Middle East and Africa, iDirect.

iDirect, a subsidiary of VT Systems, is transforming the way the world gets and stays connected. The company's satellite-based IP communications technology enables constant connectivity for voice, video and data applications in diverse and challenging environments. These include extending private networks to remote offices; supporting mobile connectivity across land, sea and air; providing rural telephony and Internet broadband; and maintaining communications in the wake of disasters and network failures. The iDirect Intelligent Platform integrates advanced technology into iDirect's portfolio of hubs, routers and network management software to address the growing complexity of deploying and managing global IP networks. With more than 13 years of global satellite communications experience, iDirect serves customers in 30 countries through a diverse network of channel partners, including some of the largest satellite providers, operators and carriers in the world and seven of the World Teleport Association's Global Top Ten. Headquartered in Herndon, Virginia, iDirect has offices in Europe, Asia, Middle East, Africa and Latin America.
