Converting iDirect Modem into a Line Card?

Hello,

Has anyone ever tried to convert a modem (Netmodem, iNFINITI 3000 and 5000 series) into a hub line card? I have turned Netmodem's into SCPC remotes before and the boards are similar to line cards since they have the PCI connection.

I am curious if anyone else has tried or played around with the idea. Obviously you'd have to find a way to get around the modem's power supply and I'm not sure if cutting it off would be best since these board have 10 layers.

Any input?
