I have another std. WRT54 on the same cable service and it works fine with std. firmware. As I said, the cable modem locked up for 2 days each night, yesterday was fine, but it just appears to be a simple solution to automatically reboot them once a day, put all your problem equipment on it and forget about it. For me it's an easy solution for equipment at remote locations. Wish I would have done that for some remote sites in the past, but did not. Now I have to email to someone at another location and ask them to email another person and have them send someone to the problem location and do it manually.
