This is probably a long shot, but I have quite a few of the Hughes 2W ISIS radios and wondering if they would work on an iDirect 3100 modem?

Any thoughts on this one?

I can sell you the Hughes DVBS2 HX modem for service in the Middle Esat to match those heads but you cant use them with I Direct

Thank you for the offer but I am in North America and my company has their own iDirect VNOC, soon to be a true NOC.

This was an idea of the boss, but I didn't believe it would work as I understand it, Hughes BUCs are propietary to Hughes.

If anyone else can add in more technical info I would greatly appreciate it.

I'm also interested to know how the Hughes BUC works, so if anyone knows or has the link to a data sheet please say.

If the LNB is suitable for your intended frequency band and the OMT/filter assembly of type cross-pol or co-pol as you require, I  think you may be able to reuse all of the Hughes RF parts except the BUC, for use with an iDirect modem.  Check that new BUC fits properly to the Hughes transmit waveguide.
