Hello all, I just recently purchased a used idirect 3000 router from a friend(atleast I hope he was a friend) My problem is where do I start? He left me w/ about 10 linksys 54g ap's that aint worth a crap. So I ordered a d-link  AirPremier DWL-7700AP that I hope will do the trick. (he was having issues with the linkses rebooting or dropping connection all the time)I called bently walker to try n see if I could sign up using the equiptment I just purchased but they told me I would have to acess the router to give them information about it. Well my problem is I don't know the user name or password or ip nor do I know if the user name or password has ever been changed or not. I have a laptop with a comm port but it's os is vista (no hyper terminal) I have another laptop thats xp but guess what.... no comm port. I have both cables as per the instruction manuel. But like I said I'm a noob at this stuff so if anyone and I mean anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. And what I mean by help is a step by step with pictures, stick figures, hell shadow puppets (if that's what it takes) instructions:-) I have too much $ invested in this. Oh and by the way I'm working in Afghanistan so the time zone may be a little different. Thanks in advance......

Sounds Great!!!! I'll give it a shot. After doing some research on this forum I must admit I'm not sure if he renigged on his contract or not (the person I bought the system from)  think that'll be a problem? And If so would I have to buy the whole system again(router, dish, LNB, firewall, etc..etc..?
