As stated above, the significant difference is in the waveform. The eVOLTION (using DVBS2 ACM) it a bit more efficient on the outbound (downstream) carrier than the iNFINITI. The modems are similar with regards to band and their ability to take advantage of iDirects GQoS suite (as it is a network side/Hub side function/configuration). Also, there is a plan to allow 2GHz tuning on the eVOLUTION in future software platforms. Just realize that in the current iDS's/iDX's, you have to maintain the integrity of the waveform on the PPs blades. Therefore, you (presently) cannot merge the iNFINITI and S2 waveforms on the same PP bladeset. You cannot have one IF group running S2 and another running iNFINITI (being managed by the same blades).
