SNR sudden Loose

Dear All,

Recently my SNR keeps dropping every few minutes from 7.5dB to Zero (0), and for sure this reduce our bandwidth quality and most of the time the pages cannot be displayed messages appear.

I installed another 1.8m antenna pointed at the same satellite and the same thing happens!!!!

There's a GSM tower just 100m far from my Ku antennas, I wounder if a close GSM antenna can cause such interference with a Ku Band ODU ???

If yes may i know the solution for it without for sure removing the GSM tower??!!!

try installing another 1.8m vsat on another location and see if you get the same result. Request your spectrum plot from your provider and post here so we can try analyze.

I suggest you connect a splitter and check what happens to the signal on the analyzer when you have no lock on the modem.

It would be a modem issue. But this test should tell you whats happening
