Hi,

I was trying monitoring remotes with PRTG. I tried using standard SNMP directly to remotes, but failed. should i use custom SNMP with idirect OID's. how? what is remote's OID for tcp traffic?

ids version 6.0.9.7
remote 3100

thanks

iDirect has a document specifically for piloting MIBs (MRTG).  The document is a bit dated, but I am fairly certain that is is still applicable, even in the latest iDS's.

I mean using snmp request of PRTG directly to remotes, not from NMS server. is it possible?

I think it is a longshot at best, as the remote reports everything to the NMS where it is compiled by the NMS's various server processes and then made available from there.  However, I would recommend discussing this with iDirect just to be sure.
