It was affecting KA band systems as well, but if you left the modem on for 24 hours the lock would eventually occur.
In our latest batch of modem, we have seen an improvement and initial lock times are now taking 1 hour 15 mins. Better, but obviously not perfect when preparing/testing numerous modems for customer installs.
Once an initial lock is established, subsequent locks generally take about 60 seconds and there's no sign of any further problems or lock delays.
Incidentally, some installers (DIY-ers especially), may get caught out during the activation process, as stage 2 of 4 displays "the modem will reboot" - but it doesn't. It then shows "Stage 3 of 4" whereby you close your web browser, but the Tooway modem will still require a physical power cycle reboot in order to initiate latest software updates and self-reboots.
After this, everything is perfect and you'll have a good connection.
