hello,
i have a sat finder which have lnb lo configuration like 10000,10500,11300 and etc.all ku band lnb.now i just aquired another type of sat finder but this one instead of having lnb lo configurations like 10000 it have 10050.can this finder track lnb lo 10000?

I find it hard to believe that a satfinder manufacturer has preconfigured an LNB LO option that includes 10005 MHz, since no LNBs (except faulty ones!) have such an LO frequency.

Anyway if it is true and you have an LNB with 10000 MHz and you set the satfinder config to 10005 MHz, then all the Ku band frequencies you enter need to have 5 MHz added.

More practically, for VSAT work, I suggest that you use the satfinder in simple L band tuning mode (950 - 2150 MHz) and ignore all satfinder LNB frequency options. Do your receive frequency calculation yourself using your actual LNB LO frequency. Satellite downlink frequency - LNB LO frequency = L band frequency in your cable. That way you can't go wrong.

Satellite TV installers need a full understanding of the way the satfinder works - it may itself generate +13/+19 volts and 22kHz tone ON/OFF if it assumes that you have a general purpose satellite TV LNB with switchable polarisations and two switchable LO frequencies (9.75 and 10.6 GHz).
