Evolution X3 Setup Problems

I am trying to setup an X3 system on AM22 (Bentley-Walker). The NOC cannot see my modem and I have a somewhat low SNR (9.5). I am not sure whether my problem is due to aiming/polarizaton or hardware failure.

What is the most likely problem?

Assuming the problem is hardware-related, how do I go about testing my  BUC and LNB?

Thanks in advance.

So you have an RX SNR of 9.5?  Is your rx LED illuminated?   How are you certain that you have the right downstream carrier (BW's downstream carrier?)

I am not sure that I'm locked on BW's carrier, but I believe that I am because the iSite aiming tool indicates over 15 volts. I also think the modem is getting an update to the option file (the file timestamp changes to Jan. 1).

I forgot to mention that the front panel LEDs are RX, TX , Power- Green; NET, STATUS - Off.

RX, TX Green is indicative of your modem having its timeplan (burstplan). However, just to be sure, have the hub give you a UDP push to see if it reboots (it should).

Since your Tx LED is green, your modem is trying to transmit but you are either too low in tx power to get within the sliding window of the UCP or your BUC or associated (uplink) cabling may be faulty.  Could be a number of things.  When you peak/pol'ed this unit, were you able to put up a CW (pure carrier)?

The last time the unit was peaked/pol'd was quite a while ago. We have since moved the dish. We can't even get the HUB to see the unit.  I checked the RG-6 cable with a multimeter and it seems to be OK. Is there a way to test to see if the BUC is transmitting and the power that it is transmitting at?
