Hi,

I have been recently offered an SCPC price and 1:1 service for similar location with lots of price difference. Which will be best to choose?

it really depends on your bandwidth need , how many sites do u have and how much bandwidth u require on each site ?

SCPC or iSCPC?

The obvious advantage that SCPC has over 1:1 TDMA service is the fact that there is less satellite overhead associated with SCPC.  iDirect TDMA will have said overhead (BTPs contained in the forward carrier and TDMA Headers, trailers, etc associated with the upstream carriers).

For the TDMA price look at the CIR and whether this is contended of not.

The SCPC is not conteded as it is dedicated bandwidth but the TDMA may be so make sure you are happy with what is being offered on the TDMA side.

The TDMA solution will  still have one form of sharing at the HUB. But your scpc traffic is most likely to terminate on MPLS switch. The TDMA overhead is larger than SCPC so the effective bit rate is lower in TDMA
