Dear Members,

We recently switched from HUGHES HN7000S to idrect 3X series. Before in HUGHES the email attachments were perfect. Now on idirect 3x Series the email attachments are really slow.

Download is ok
Browsing is OK
Sending Files via MSN is OK
Email Attachments: Not O>K and very slow

Here is the MRTG from the link after what they said they increased the upload link for us to the maximum.

note that the link is: 512 Up/2Mb down 1:10 with a public IP.

Find below the MRTG picture

Yes this is what is the HUB is saying. Am not assuming their services is bad. But the problem is our email attachments doesn't go :S.

Is it perhaps the Emails uses UDP and our UDP graph is really low comparing to TCP?

Maybe the problem is from your mail server. Between, who is the provider????

Were you trying to upload when this graph was taken? 512 10:1 comes out to a minimum of 51.2Kbps and you were getting 256 during that graph. I would advise that you isolate your network to a single computer and cease all other traffic. Once you have no traffic, try to add an email attachment and look at how your mrtg graph reacts. This will narrow down if its a bandwidth usage issue or a technical issue (which is a good place to start). Also if its over an webmail client, Is the webmail client SSL oriented? Look for HTTPS in the url.
