I am currently in Afghanistan, and I am having issues pointing a VSAT antenna for broadband to Telstar 18
Unfortunately I do not have a spec an for pointing. All I have access to is a Birdog.
From what I can gather it would be best to configure the birdog to look at one of the larger DVB carriers on T18, which there are many.
My question is that since I am using a VSAT antenna with which I can adjust the polarization of the feed, as opposed to a Sat TV antenna, at what position should my feed horn be.
Since I have never had to try and point an antenna this way I could be way off base, but any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
