Hello

Can anyone help me out in finding how to calculate symbol rate from data rate in iDirect. Also can anyone share details on how to work with iNPT

Symbol rate= data rate/FEC rate/ modulation spectral efficiency

exp:

If your link is 2MB and using 3/4 TPC and QPSK modulation, your symbol rate will be

symbol rate=2048/(3/4)/2= 1365.33 ksps

The bandwidth (kHz) required on satellite will be equal to the symbol rate times spacing (1.4 or 1.3)
