Dear all,

We have problem running SAP application in HX 50.
ping test is stable about 700 ms average. we labbed SAP  using internal bandwidth management, both CIR and CBR aplied. tcp compression is also used.
But the resuts is not acceptable. SAP made 3 - 5 seconds delay every input process.

our acceptance in 1-2 seconds, that happens when using SCPC link.

Please help, if there any profile or advance tuning configuration for SAP??

is there any external applications for HX  overcome the SAP problem??

best regards,

Rahiel,

I have no experience in terms of HX 50. However, the 3 to 5 seconds delay might be inevitable, depending on the traffic pattern of SAP.

As you mentioned, the route trip delay takes 700ms. It is possible that SAP actually takes several rounds to complete the input process under the hood, hence the delay you observed.

The best way to begin with is to understand the underlying traffic pattern. Depending on your machine, you can run wireshark or some other tools to monitor the number of TCP/IP round trip for a SAP transaction.

If the delay is indeed caused by SAP, then you might want to look for some PEP (performance enhance proxy), either integrated in the modem, or as a separated box.

Hope it helps.
