Access North American signal

I'm living in South America and have DirecTV here, but the signal stream is the Latin American one, which sucks.

Is there a way to capture the North American signal, with American channels and programming? I guess I would need an American dish and receiver, and pay the monthly dues in the US.

To be precise, I'm in Uruguay (south of Brazil), any chance to catch the signal from all the way down south?

Very unlikely. See https://www.track-it-tv.com/north-american-directv-map.aspx and https://www.track-it-tv.com/latin-american-directv-map.aspx The marginal overlap between DTV-NA and DTV-LA is intentional

Thanks for the reply.

What about Dish Network, same criteria? although their service is not available in S. America...

Well, depends upon where in SA, and how big a dish you can afford. See DishMexico coverage at https://www.satelliteguys.us/dish-network-forum/148400-echostar-4-77w-footprint....

I'm deep south in SA, southern Brazil. I looked at the map and it doesn't even get close.

Am I out of options, can you think of any other possibility I can try, other than the slingbox?

Sky is an option, as well as some other one available around here, but they don't even come close to the number of HD channels, and the programming is somehow customized to Brazil.
I wanted to have pure American TV! but I guess it won't be possible.
Thanks for your feedback!
