I have modified the forum with the intention so that members may, if they choose, hide their email address from other regular members and visitors.

This is intended to reduce the problem of email spammers harvesting email addresses from this forum and then sending you a load of junk emails.

To hide your email address Login as usual, then go to your Profile, scroll down and there is now an option to Hide email address. Then click Change profile and wait 90 seconds. It should then refresh the screen.

5 people have so far altered their "Profile " so that their email address is hidden from public view.

If you are not seeking private emails from anyone then this action is suggested to reduce spam from people (and spambots) who access this forum and then send out unsolicited emails to any email addreses they find.

You email address is normally shown as Em to the left of any postings you make.

A significant number of new members have been welcomed to the forum recently.

All members of the forum, who are not seeking private email replies, are reminded of the facility in their Profile to optionally hide their email address.
