The new low cost iDirect X1 customer routers provide conventional VSAT broadband access to the internet, web page downloads, email, VoIP etc, but in addition are ideally suited to remote telemetry for utility applications such as smart metering, oil, gas, water monitoring and control, and infrequent message type applications for security and military.

They are X1 physically smaller and cheaper than the old X3 version and, optionally, come as a bundle (dish, feed, LNB, small size ORU). An outdoor IP67 version is available.
