Carrier in Carrier refers to a Comtech technique for making use of satellite bandwidth by transmitting two carriers on top of one another, like so:
...
Provided each earth station is in the same coverage beam and can therefore see its own transmitted signal, it is able to subtract a delayed version of its own transmit carrier from the received carriers and thus remove the 'interference'.

I've heard of the very successful use of this technique on a point to point link between a pair of large earth stations, with whole transponders being fully utilised, twice over !

First I've heard of Carrier in Carrier (CiC?). Sounds to me like just another name for CDMA, which has been around for over 50 years.

I can confirm that it is very good to use.

Would also save a lot of $$$ in bandwidth.
