The above message has been getting a lot of attention and also the suggestion that this page should be better indexed.  Not sure about indexing, that but I have investigated above and found that the as GD Satcom pdf link above no longer works. So edited this page today.

In my experience it is important to install the three sloping support rods and the three main side struts to the central support tube tightly to prevent rotation of the pole in the wind.  This is particularly relevant with the narrow beam widths if used at Ka band.  If you find it a bit loose check you have followed the instructions carefully with regards to any washers and which side of the lugs to be used etc.

Test your installation by gently pushing on the sides to check it is 'rock solid!'
