IP data rate or Information data rate

Dear all, let's say we have ATM banking application, we know that the payload of ATM protocol is 52 bytes. Now, my question is how to estimate the best IP data rate or Information data rate for such application?

Dear,

I think you have a small confusion.

ATM can stand for Automatic Teller Machine. This is the box you insert the card and it gives you cash. It can rely the data using different platforms, such as wireless, satellite, copper etc.

ATM can also stand for Asymmetric Transfer Mode, which is rarely used today. This protocol indeed based on cells of 52 bytes. But the two ATM's have just the acronym in common.

Kind regards,

Thanks for the reply. But, I already mentioned it is ATM banking machine;  I know ATM machines could you use different technologies. In my case I am assuming the machines will be based on B-ISDN ATM protocol (53 Bytes). My question is whatsoever the technology( in my case B-ISDN ATM protocol), how could I estimate the suitable speed (data rate) for such application? is it 8 kbps/13 kbps/16 kbps?

thanks in advance
