Bandwidth is a measure of IP throughput and there are various types, namely peak or maximum rate, committed rate (also known as dynamic) and minimum data rate. These are all IP data rates that form the QOS rules and are configured in the QOS tab of iBuilder.

In the return or inbound direction the IP data is carried using TDMA and the measure after the TDMA process is information rate (TDMA overhead is added), FEC is then added and the measure becomes transmission rate, the signal is then modulated and the measure becomes symbol rate, guard band or inter-carrier spacing is then added and you have leased MHz. Typically you may have 3 Mbps IP data rate, 3.9 Mbps information rate, 5.8 Mbps transmission rate, 2.9 Msps symbol rate and require a lease of 3.5 MHz.
