All users of the forum are reminded that they should change their passwords regularly, especially if you access the internet via wireless or public internet cafe.  The internet is not secure and passwords may be intercepted in transit.  Regardless, if you have not changed your password for some time, do it now.

Your password should be unique to the forum (i.e. not used for other purposes also) and should be sufficiently complex to defeat brute force hackers who attempt to login many times using long lists of likely passwords. 8 characters minimum, mixed letters, numbers etc. Not obvious words or 123456 !

A number of forum members will have recently received emails giving them new passwords, as a result of their old password being insufficiently complex.

I will issue further reminders like this, at least once a year !

Best regards, Eric.

Please change your password from time to time.
If you change your password (using "Profile"), please use a complex password
that is unique to the satsig.net forum. Do not use some easily guessed
password or one that is the same password as you use for other purposes.
If you ever use wireless, hotel or internet cafe it is particularly important to
change your password as your username and password may be, or may have been, intercepted.
Your communications to and from the web site are not encrypted.
If you forget your password don’t worry; just email me eric@satsig.net

Best regards, Eric.
