I think I know the answer (no way),  but I'll ask anyway.  Does anyone think that it is now (or ever will be) practical to move the dish around the country in the way that some RVers do with Direcway?

I'd really like to be able to do that, and the Ka dish seems small enough that it should not be much more trouble than hauling a TV sat. receiver dish around.  I'm thinking that the "spot beam" system will not allow this to happen, at least not outside of your home spot.

John.

In the forseeable future John, your thinking is correct
