Hello,

I have a Linkstar modem and am now online with a new provider on Eutelsat W6. My modem has a RX Sync and  NCR Sync but no TX Sync. My new provider tells me I am not getting a TX Sync because I have a PIN lock on modem. I issued the command "unlockrcst -kr 1234" and get INVALID PIN, I tried  several differnet PIN numbers. I contacted my old provider whom I was on NSS6 with. He gave me the Admin/Root password, but says he does not know the PIN code. I do legally own my modem and fulfilled my 1yr contract with the previous provider.

Does anyone know of a way I can reset or remove the PIN code on the Linkstar?

Can I manualy enter "unlockrcst -kr 0000" command from 0000 thru 9999 until I get the right PIN. If so, can I do this on the new providers satellite of W6, or do I have to be on the old providers satellite of NSS6.

Thanks, Terry Caulder

please be informed that the RSCT key could be cleaned out via NOC being locked with your service provider (only!).

Before you proceed just prove that you'r responsible for the modem as an owner.
