You should have no problem with the electronics - BUC, LNB and Modem.  However Nigeria requires completion of a "Form M" that ensures the government collects VAT (value added taxes) on the dish.

In my experience this form can add 4 - 6 weeks of delay to the process of importing a dish.  I generally recommend that my Nigerian customers buy the electronics from us, and attempt to acquire the dish in-country from a supplier who has already imported the dishes, and therefore already completed the appropriate forms and paid the appropriate taxes.

In either event, you'll end up paying about the same for the dish in most cases.

Note that Nigeria has instituted a registration requirement in an attempt to manage the high level of fraud due to 419 scams, excessive spam, etc.  You will be required to complete the EFCC form if you run a Cyber Cafe or WISP.  I dont' believe there is much if any cost associated with that.  Learn more about this by visiting this link:  www.efccnigeria.org/ and click on the ISP/Cyber Cafe registration link.

Okay thanks, for your good response. Actually, I am looking to buy the SkyOne equipment from GT&T, and they are saying that we have to make arrangements for getting it into Nigeria as they don't do that.

So can I just ask them to cargo it and send it down maybe via air-parcel? Will I be able to get it in?

Thanks once more.
