Dear All,

we have a local TV broadcasting  the town and we will like to  broadcast from a satellite (any KU band satellite covering central Africa).

Can someone advice on:

- Equipment needed,
- Bandwidth availability

and anything necessary to go through with this project.

Thank You.

Please say what country you are uplinking from and to what countries you want to downlink to.

As an example only, applicable to countries in 'southern Africa' see here:
https://www.satsig.net/global-teleports/transponder-bandwidth-sale-ku-south-afri...

In April there was some cheap bandwidth available in  self to self beam connectivity at $4400 per month per MHz.  I guess you might need 2.6 MHz, for one video and one sound channel.

Ku band is fine for intended home reception with small antennas but if your purpose is to distribute programs to headends and local transmitters then larger dishes with  C band (circular polarisation) might be preferred to reduce outage time in heavy rain.

Best regards, Eric.

Dear Eric,

Thanks for the reply, my country is Cameroon and I think NSS7, W3A, or Pas10 will be fine if there is still some space on these.

waiting to hear from the forum.
