Dear Dave,

We are in the right position to provide you with this capacity requirement.

When is the launch date of this project?

Before we talk about the price, please kindly give us first the following information:

1. Where is the other end of the site? You only gived
Kampala. Are both the Hub and remotes in Kampala?
    Please clarify.
2. What is this VSAT for - Internet applications or
     something else? Please specify.
3. What is the HPA (Transceiver) rating? If below 100
    Watts, 3.7 - meter
antenna is not  enough; it should be at least 3.8
    meter.
4. What is the FEC?
3. What is the Modulation type
    (QPSK,8PSK,16QAM,64QAM)?
4. Any existing equipments?

Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Handeil C. Magnanao

hi Handell,

1. This is connection to the internet backbone preferably in Europe or US. Do you have a teleport to propose?
2. Applications are standard for ISP offering service to local marketplace. Web browsing, email, etc
3. HPA is 100W
4. & 5. Modulation etc is dependent on the satellite etc. We have not yet purchased modems. Are you proposing a particular satellite. Please tell me its details as I would need to confirm whether we would have visibility of it from our VSAT location.

Best regards
Dave

Dear Dave,

Our company, Shin Satellite PLC has its own teleport in Thailand. Our satellite that could serve you on the locations you have mentioned is our fifth satellite known as Thaicom 5. Please see its global beam from this link:https://www.thaicom.net/pages/our_satellite.aspx
and kindly select on the left side, Thaicom 5 and its footprints will be shown. You can also send me e-mail to this address: handeilm@thaicom.net

If you can see that your VSAT locations are covered well with our global beam, please let me know. For sure Kampala is well covered, however, some parts of Europe are on the edge of our global footprint - so you need a bigger antenna size to that parts of Europe.

If you have some more question, please feel free to send me your e-mail.

Thank you very much.

Best Regards

Handeil
