You need to find some teleport hub that operates to your satellite and has connectivity to and from your beam coverage area.  That teleport needs to have a iDirect hub (such as 5IF) capable of being shared out amongst several VNOs.  You then pay for your line card and hub management software and licence and technical assistance centre support.  You also need to pay for an outlink and return link carrier.

You need a PC to access your dedicated hub hardware to manage your customer sites.  You need to do the relevent training etc.

Regarding equipment, licence and TAC support costs,  this spreadsheet .xls file iDirect prices .xls file 240k gives some idea. It is dated 7 July 2006.

Regarding carrier costs think in terms of about $500 to $700 per 100kbit/s per month, depending on satellite, beam, frequency band etc.

Try searching Google for idirect vno and idirect vno licence.  There have been over 500 iDirect hubs delivered and some must surely be available second hand after the intitial operator has gone bust.

Hopefully this posting will attract interest from teleports with VNO capacity to spare and explain what they can offer.

Best regards, Eric.

I suggest you go to this page https://www.arabsat.com/ArabSat/English/ContactUS.htm
and find your local contact person in Arabsat.  Talk to them about leasing capacity on the satellite and also about any iDirect hubs that Arabsat operates.  They may have iDirect 5IF hubs themselves and lease out line cards.  Alternatively they may have people already with 5IF hubs either at Arabsat teleports or at their own teleports with spare space.  You may also wish to put your own iDirect hub either at an Arabsat teleport or your own teleport, or any telport offering equipment hosting space.

You would do well also to see page
iDirect hubs overvew
and study the alternative types of iDirect hubs.
Talk to the relevent person in iDirect here:
https://www.idirect.net/cs/contact/contact_information
and get full up to date pricing quotes of the various alternatives, including draft VNO contract papers, and pricing for training and technical support.

I hope others will help with advice and offers here.  There must be people with teleport antennas pointed at BADR satellite who have spare iDirect hubs or rack space for your iDirect equipment.

Remember, a single 5 IF rack may be shared by 5 different companies, each connected to a different teleport satellite dish and thus 5 different satellites, via L band tx and rx coax cables 950-1700 MHz. There is a 3Mbyte pdf file about iDirect 5IF hub here iDirect 5IF hub overview

Best regards, Eric.
