I wanted to know whether a roasting dish can walk on hot bird13.

The Hotbird 8 satellite at 13 East has transponders that radiate 53 dBW around the beam peak, see http://www.lyngsat-maps.com/maps/hb8.html, but only 40 dBW at the beam edge, somewhat inland along the N.African coast.  Dish sizes 50 cm in Europe and 180cm in N.Africa are suggested.

A roasting dish is best kept for cooking the bird !
