What are you trying to change?  The root password or the telnet admin password?

Be advised the above procedure is for changing the linux level (i.e. root) login.  The Admin pass for telnet is contained in the options file which is generated by the NMS at the Hub.

Just change the Password in iBuilder and load the new option file. Option file will have an Encrypted Password, U cannot change it. So, Better option is at iBuilder..........!
