Howdy,
I am trying to setup someones internet satellite system. They have a iDirect 3000 Modem. There is no book, no user name, no password.
I also downloaded some file called isite 8.0. I guess it is an interface to the modem between Windoz and Linux.
I got instructions and reset the password through the console port, but none of the user names work.
So is there a way to set the modem back to defaults? Or is there a way to crack the user name?

I wonder if I just leave it alone and connect the rest of the network to it and have the first device use DHCP if it will pull the needed DNS address and set the ip for the internet?  Anyone please?

AARRGG!

Using iSite 8.0 you would need the TELNET password to put you on the falcon process.

If you were given instructions on how to change your password, it is more than likely change instructions for the the root/console password (for a linux level logon) which wont do anything for you when trying to use iSite.

It is recommended that you acquire the password from your satellite service provider.
