I am in Afghan and I am trying to get KU service with the Idirect X3 modem.  I have been told that it is difficult to get a link with the W6 Satellite from Afghan because of the low satellite elevation.

Is there a provider that that uses another satellite with the X3 modem, and is it reachable in Afghanistan?

Thanks in advance

just my quick calculations you have about a 28 degree look angle from the middle of Afghan. Thats not to bad. Do you have to have X3??? If not and you are looking for BW, I have some on Nss6 and T-10. We are also looking to bring some new service up shortly

I am looking for BW.   The guys over at Walker told me I could have some problems getting W6.  I don't have an X3 yet but I am planning on getting one once I find the right provider.

After using the calculators provided and inputing my lat long. I got an elevation angle of 25 degrees when trying to determine if I can reach W6(21.5E).  That doesn't seem that bad

Proactive I got your email and responded.

Dear Sir,

We have active sites in Afghanistan both infinity and X3 types. They are working on Eutelsat W6 without any problem, the coverage is very good.

Please drop me an email to huseyina@balkantelekom.net regarding your service request.

Thanks a lot.

Huseyin

Hello,

I would like to suggest to you also Lamit Company, a satellite internet provider which offers its services to Afghanistan.
They have also launched a new generation of servers which accelerates the satellite internet connection, the 2.5  STABLE version of Lamit 2Pro Advanced and Lamit 2Pro Mini Power servers. https://lamit.ro/military-special-connections-iraq-afghanistan.html
The Lamit solutions have been already implemented with success in Nigeria, Ghana, Angola, Sudan and in many other African countries, as well as into the Middle East’s countries as Iraq, Afghanistan or Kuwait, these being only a few of the hot spots of requests for the company’s satellite internet services
I think that you will consider useful this information and for further details regarding their services you can visit their official website, where you will find all the details that you need https://www.lamit.ro.

Regards
