Hi,
I'm trying to get remote status via snmp for monitoring. I understand the NMS proxies the queries and provides the info based on it's tables.

I've loaded the IDIRECT-REMOTE-MIB.txt file from /usr/share/snmp/mibs into a mib browser, and when queried gives me "No Such Object available on this agent at this OID".

I've heard that the string requires an index to reference the remote. How does one do this?

Version 8.0.27

Thanks

Did you guys install the snmp server when you did your install/upgrade? We had a hell of a time getting SNMP working, until we realized we skipped that part in the upgrade procedure

From a *nix machine try
snmpwalk -v 1 -c public A.B.C.D 1.3.6.1.4.1.13732.1.4.3.1.2
A.B.C.D is the IP address of the NMS server.
1.3.6.1.4.1.13732 is the iDirect entry and 1.4.3.1.2 will tell you the DownSNR values of all your netmodems.
There is a document on the tac site giving you all the information you need.
