I'm trying to install iDirect software onto my laptop that has an OS of Windows 7.  I'm receiving an error.  Are they compatible?  The version I'm using is 7.1.1 for iDirect.

"Error 1606. Could not access network location %appdata%\."

I suggest you call iDirect TAC.

I understand that the install wizards do not work correctly under Vista and Windoze 7. But you can copy the files from an XP machine after installation and it should work. TAC will tell you that these operating systems are not supported.

Im using windows 7 pro (32-bit) and running idirect versions 7.1.1, 8.3, 9.0.7, IDx 2 with no problems at all. Just installed it as you would with XP.

From that error message it says network location! maybe have the installation program on your hard drive and install it from there.

It will install but you will not be able to Telnet the remotes nor NMSs.

Tested with 7.0.5, Windows 7 32-Bit
