Can someone please point me in a direction where I can download the Rootfs.img for Idirect 3100series netmodem.

Better still, can someone show me how to extract the Rootfs image from  a fully functional Idirect 3100 netmodem.

I accidentally deleted the Rootfs folder in redboot using

fis delete Rootfs

Now I need the image to flash back into the folder after recreating it.

Any asistance will be greatly appreciated.

If you are determined to engage this (and if I am understanding you correctly), it sounds like you are looking for the zimage file found in the cumulative update pkg.  The file is located in the NMS image sets or in the remote software package provided by your Hub Operator.  *When you track it down, confirm that it is the cumulative update pkg for the iDS version you are using.

Unzipping that cumulative update file can easily be done from any RHEL OS (NMS, etc).

I am not going to coach you beyond this point.  It is recommended that you get ahold of the TAC CSE or a compentent iDirect authority to ensure that you install that file correctly.

Thank you for your reply.

I am not looking for the zImage file. I already have it.  The zImage file is used to recreate the Linux folder.  I need to recreate the Rootfs folder instead.

I have already recreated the Rootfs folder in Redboot, now I need the content of that folder which I believe is contained in a file called rootfs.img
