I have been asked to remind suppliers...

For the last 6 years there has been a regular and continuing email scam doing the rounds involving attempts to buy 5 Watt BUCs with just-stolen credit cards.

If you receive an enquiry asking to buy a 5 Watt BUC be suspicious that it is an attempt to use a just-stolen credit card.

Because the just-stolen credit card is still good the money appears to goes through but is withdrawn from your account a short while later once the card is reported as stolen (or cloned).  Always insist on fully cleared funds prior to dispatch of any VSAT goods.

Best regards, Eric.

I again warn satellite internet equipment and service providers regarding continuing emails asking for any satellite equipment and/or service and offering to pay by credit card.

Best regards, Eric.
