hi, i am looking for the transportable (or portable), reliable satellite broadband internet access solution for a group of people in Somalia. i would be happy to hear opinion which one would be good to choose. i was looking into something
like http://www.outfittersatellite.com/bgan_hns9201.htm for a very portable solution or maybe some transportable VSAT dish and modem. but i am not sure what is the best option.

also which provider should i choose?

i would appreciate your help and opinion.

all the best, VooBe

If you can describe us what exactly are you going to do with the internet connection, and about your conditions in Somalia, we will be able to provide you better information.

BGAN terminal is very small, portable, easy to set up and you can get basically good and reliable service. BUT, it has limited bandwidth capacity, and it is very expensive (not the terminal itself, but the usage).

VSAT is the other option, but it requires more expensive equipment and setup, and if you are looking for portable solution - even more expensive. The service is good and reliable and cheaper as well, much cheaper. So providing more accurate information will allow us to advice which of the two solutions may be better for you.

Kind Regards,
