Gentlemen,

i would like to have information about Cobham equipment

specifically

1) what is the NMS used to run this equipments?
2) does cobham use their own modem.. i mean there is a Modem Branded by Cobham?
3) what's the possibilities of installing this equipment? can any iDirect or normal VSAT installer do it or this equipments needs a special Engineer to do the configuration ...etc;?

I wish I could get more information about that Cobham Company as i felt lost when i visited their website

Note# i am not searching for sales guys who will offer me deals and equipments. i am seeking technical acknowledgment

Thanks
Cheers

People have asked where can they get antennas and accessories that used to be made and sold by a company called "Patriot", who did a splendid little paper catalog.  The company seemed to disappear a year or two ago.  I am not clear what happened to it.

Answer: I have had an email today about VikingSatcom https://www.vikingsatcom.com/ which seems to me made up of engineers who used to work for Patriot. So if you want their regular VSAT or portable fly-away type dishes or feeds, OMTs etc., you now know where to go. They don't do VSAT hub racks or modems (iDirect, ViaSat, Hughes, Comtech etc) but do everything antennas, feeds, LNBs, BUCs etc.

Best regards, Eric.

Patriot was acquired by Cobham and then Cobham decided to phase out all of the Patriot line for the VSAT antenna's. However if people are looking for these antennas then I can supply the 98cm Ku Band unit.
