Satellite Internet for small community in northern Bahamas

Hi, I live in  a small rural community in the northern Bahamas. We presently have internet access via either wireless providers or DSL, but the best speeds we can get from either of these, is around 3Mbps. There is a general need or faster speeds, but there is no indication that this will be forthcoming. Can you please advise me as to what might be available for such a situation. Thank you.
