I gather this kit is based on the ViaSat's SurfBeam system, can anyone tell me if it is compatible with any of the services offered in S.E.Asia specifically Thailand?

Thanks

Someone else wanted Surfbeam service in East Asia.  See: https://www.satsig.net/topics/satsig-topic-num=1216467577.htm I suggest you email him and ask if he found an Asia beam service provider with a Surfbeam Hub.

Note that the small blue Wildblue/Tooway type dish and its TRIA are Ka band equipment and will only work with satellites that have Ka band beams, such as Anik F2/Wildblue and Hotbird 6.

The Surfbeam modem is claimed to be able to work with Ku band outdoor equipment, but I am not aware of any specifically compatible LNB/BUC hardware.  The surfbeam modem LNB supply is 30 volts at 150mA and the BUC supply 30 volts at 1.55 amps.

Best regards, Eric.
