Assistance understanding how to apply satellite internet ...

Greetings one and all,

First off, apologies in advance if anyone fells that I don't understand the basic principals involved in Satellite Internet. The reason is ... frankly, I don't as it's a new topic in my life experience LOL Sad

... hence the appeal for assistance.
Since retiring, we've changed life styles and now split our time between the UK and Spain (Murcia).
In the UK, I have a small weather station set up to upload it's data to a web page. It works well and is fairly reliable with few problems.
I've been looking at doing the same at our Spanish location but we have a few issues with power and internet access whilst we are out of the country.
I'm currently addressing the power issue with a view to building a suitable solar powered installation to power the Raspberry Pi (computer) and the weather station will be self-powering due to it's inbuilt solar power pack.
The issue revolves around the Internet access which we have to switch off whilst out of Spain.
I guess the bottom line is trying to know/find out if it's possible to obtain a single satellite internet account which can be accessed/used from both the UK and Spanish locations (2 sets of equipment of course) so that the data from the weather stations can be uploaded for processing and displaying on a web page.
Sounds ridiculously simple ... but the reality is proving to be anything but.
Any assistance/productive comment would be gratefully received.

Why not leave this alone. You don't need a UK satellite terminal as well or as an alternative to UK terrestrial access. When you say 'upload to a web page' does this mean that your weather station sends messages to a weather server somewhere that is configured to receive those messages and display results on a web page? Or, does the weather server call your weather station and request an update every so often. This is important as in the second case, the IP address of the weather station needs to be fixed. Also, as the weather station is a server it needs to be secure from hackers.

Is it possible that solar power and a battery might be used to keep the Spain terrestrial internet modem and weather station working? That would save having to provide a satellite terminal. If you do go down tha satellite terminal route be aware that a satellite terminal might be fine for sending weather information messages to the weather server, but not for responding to requests from the weather server, as the satellite terminal may have an unknown dynamic, altering, IP address or be hidden in a private LAN IP address range. If you talk to satellite internet service providers https://www.satsig.net/ivsat-europe.htm and need a fixed, public, IP address make them aware of this.
If the reason why your internet in Spain is switched off is not due to lack of mains power, might the data be sent to the weather server using a mobile phone network? I don't know much about this but the Spain weather station would need a SIM card and perhaps android / linux type software.
