X3 alaram Explannation

Hi,

My X3 remote was giving the following error on iMonitor this afternoon...

Type: lat_timeout
Details: Stopped receiving echo reply from (that remote serial)

Can someone please explain what might have went weired!

I understand that this error is reported by the latency server (LAT) on the NMS when it does not get ICMP responses back from the remote. Possible causes could be a congested network, interference, solar outage, incorrect QOS configuration or something wrong with your satellite router at that time. If the problem is transient then you should start recording the details of traffic at that time on the entire network and look for reasons why the outage occurs. If it is constant then you have a more serious problem and you may want to get iDirect's TAC have a look at your network.
