how to access remote x3 consol remotely?

hello guys again


as i know console connection to idirect modem need physical connection through lan port isthat right?

can i establish console connection (idirect linux kernel) remotely?

Although I am not 100% certain, I think you must have a physical connection to that console interface.   

Most Hub Operators/Owners use a Console Server, such as a Comtrol Device master RTS, etc to get at the console port remotely (line cards, etc). For a remote user, I know that is more than likely unrealistic.

You can use an SSH client in most recent versions of software. Telnet is inherently insecure as everything passes in clear text and thus normally disabled.

We use SecureCRT and SSH directly into the LAN IP (not the management IP address).

One key is to have your routing set up properly.

Can't figure out a way to jump out within iMonitor - I suspect because it talks to the Management IP - however there may be clever ways to route through that.
