Need help - satellite link budgets etc

It depends on what you want to do with the links you are planning. Most equipment vendors have calculators relevant to their product and these are available from their sales folk or on their website. If you need a solution to a problem post a question here and someone can point you to a solution. You can then investigate performance and other details required to make that product work by contacting the vendor or using their website. Although DVB and DVB-S2 are standards each vendor implements them in slightly different ways with their own vendor specific performance.

If you get a proper text book you can make up your own spreadsheets to calculate whatever answers you want for whatever on inputs you like.

For suitable text books go to this page https://www.satsig.net/vsat_top.htm and pick one of the two text books featured on the right hand side. The books come direct to you from Amazon and I get a small commission if you by one.
