Iheard a rumour that Sky-logic has turned the blue beam off, is that true?

also, I've never tried any tooway service before, so my Q is

how can i get to know that i will receive the ka-sat signal in my town specially after this ruomer?
i have a Technisat skystar 2 usb devise attached to my laptop is there any simple way like a PC program that helps me get the signal, or it is impossible with normal lnb's?

can you please help me out so soon>>>>>>

I also heard the rumour that Tooway service in that particular beam was due to be turned off some time in second half of 2011, and the whole beam leased to some other organisation and possibly repointed. I don't know the outcome.

sales@toowaydirect.com may have further information as I believe they operated a terminal for a short time to the west of Benghazi to determine just how far the beam extended.

The blue beam in the figure above is centered about half way between Tripoli and Benghazi. My opinion / guess regarding beams is as per https://www.satsig.net/tooway/satellite-dish-pointing-ka-sat-tooway-europe.htm

My page shows two beams, both purple, type 3, one aimed at Tunisia and the other at the Benghazi area. Not sure if this is correct either, or about the shape and size of these unusual North Africa beams. It is possible that these beams may be larger than shown.

There are alternative satellite internet services with coverage of Libya - see https://www.satsig.net/ivsat-africa.htm

For dish pointing in Tunisia try this:

Best regards, Eric.
